Side effects of Botulinumtoxin - A

As in case of every type of injection, the skin may in very rare cases experience irritation, infection or slight swelling. In some rare cases, the puncture may produce very slight emission of blood. All such unwanted manifestations disappear within a few days time.

In some rare cases when treating the forehead, a temporary sinking of the eyebrow or eyelid can occur in the area to the side of the eyebrows.

All side effects are, by modern medical standards, only temporary however.
No long-term side effects resulting from the treatment of mimetic wrinkles with Botulinumtoxin - A have been known to occur.
