Temporary replacements
By precise planning we can assure you that you will never be without a functional temporary tooth replacement for the duration of the treatment. During the swelling directly following the implantation (usually two to three days) the temporary replacement for larger reconstructions (six to eight implants) is loosely fitted. This ensures that during this time the pressure of the temporary replacement does not endanger the healing. After the swelling has receded, a well-seated temporary presents no problem.
The type of implants that we use have the approval for immediate restauration. This means that because of their optimal form and surface, the implant can be immediately loaded with a crown.
This is certainly the most comfortable solution for temporary restauration. Immediately after the implantation an impression is made. Within a few hours the temporary artificial crowns or bridges crafted by the technician will be cemented firmly into place. The permanent replacements will follow in approximately two to six months. If the bone in the area of the implantation is not stable enough to support immediate strain (this can be determined during the operation) then a removable temporary replacement can be employed.
