Cosmetic periodontal surgery The aesthetic form of the teeth is in large part determined by the condition and course of growth of the gums. Often the roots are exposed due to receding gums. As a consequence, the teeth often react very sensitively to temperature differences. Optically, this results in the appearance of a lengthening of the tooth’s crown. By using microsurgical processes the exposed areas can be recovered by using the bodies own gum tissue. |
